My first Jeep, 1994 Wrangler 4.7L
History: The original owner was warming the engine by over revving it, needless to say... he ended up throwing a piston rod through the block. After sitting in his garage for a few years, his buddy convinced him they could rebuild it. They took it all apart down to the block and it sat for a few more years. I bought it for $100. I hitched it up to my truck, threw all the parts in the truck bed and drove home.
I had never touched a jeep in my life. I had no idea what I was getting into, but for $100 bucks, I had to give it a try! After spending weeks of research, i decided to try the stroked engine approach. If I had known how well the normal 4.0 performed, I most likely would not have stroked it, but I did lol. It took over a year to finish it.
After driving the jeep, I was hooked forever. I ended up selling this one to my dad. I bought another YJ model Jeep but the frame rot and tub rust was too much to save the jeep, so I parted it out.
My next Jeep purchase was an 01 Cherokee. I put a ton of work into that Jeep and sold it to a good friend.
Now I own a 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ. More details to come about that Jeep!
